Dog Island. Is this for real?

On the Dog Island webpage you can fill out an application to send your dog to live on a “rabbit stocked” island forever. They say the dogs run wild there and have a heck of a time. On their “directions” tab, you will find strangely suspicious directions to their office near Tallahassee Florida.

I realize my golden retriever likes to play with other dogs, but he always comes back to me when he is done and wants to go home. I don’t know how happy a lot of house pets would be to find themselves on an island fending for themselves.

Is this for real? It was a dead giveaway that they were only accepting pets. If this were real,  “Dog Island” would be rescuing homeless dogs from the pound. I mean those poor pups are locked in cages. Sure, an island would be better for them. It just all seemed a little suspicious.  According to Snopes,  “Dog Island” is a hoax.
